It is hard to not be in the mood for guac and tortilla chips. Guacamole is often sold in plastic tubs which cannot be recycled in some areas, or are not washed after use and contaminate a whole recycling batch. Forget the plastic and make your own guacamole at home. It can be made in less than 10 minutes (and eaten in five!) so is great for making as soon as your guests arrive or just before you press ‘play’ at a movie night.
Chilli con Carne is a widely loved dish. It's a great dish to have up your sleeve and is a really simple one pot dish. It is even better when its vegan, which our recipe is! This one is tried and tested by us and is a firm favourite at BBQs at Grace's house.
Tofu has taken the vegan scene by storm. It is everywhere. In BBQ, Indian, Chinese cuisines just to name a few. It is fried, boiled, baked and crumbled. But it is also very scary to try to cook at home. Many of you may have tried and failed miserably, including myself. BUT, we have a guide to ensure this never happens again.
We completely understand if Veganuary just isn't for you, but that doesn't mean you have to be completely in, or completely out. We also support anyone who wants to reduce their meat and dairy consumption and move towards a plant-based or meat-free diet.
Veganuary is a 31 day challenge to take part in Veganism. It gives you an opportunity to make a difference to your life and the lives of others on a trial basis. Not tying you into any contract or commitment, giving you a manageable amount of time to test a new lifestyle. We have four main reasons we think everyone should give Veganuary a go. Have a read and see if you think you can take the 31 day challenge!
The Christmas lights and adverts are everywhere. One thing we are all looking forward to is Christmas Dinner. Many traditional gravy recipes use animal fats and vegetarian granules are processed and sometimes bland. Here we have our tried and tested vegan gravy which we will be pouring over our spuds on the 25th.
Many of us have grown up with a menu heavily influenced by animal produce. Now there is such a variety of meat substitutes we are able to eat the same meals either as a vegetarian or a vegan. This Cottage Pie is a great example of a meal where the flavours are still strong, warming and comforting, without eating any animal produce. We make efforts to change the way we think about food, both where it comes from and how it's produced. If you can still feel like you're eating what you want to, or what you're used to, its much easier to enjoy a diet with reduced animal produce.
This vegan salad is perfect for a sunny Saturday in autumn, made in bulk for work lunches or to take on a picnic in the forest.
This is our easiest vegan recipe yet. Some vegan recipes require special ingredients, this one does not. You can eat this anytime, anywhere. Enjoy with friends over a cuppa or make these with the little ones for a birthday party treat.
Chocolate and cheese are arguably the two hardest things for a vegan to give up. So we thought we would help you along with a delicious recipe to get a cruelty free chocolate fix. This recipe is really simple and is a great one to make for the family.
The amount of plastic used in supermarkets has been widely criticised and for good reason. Items like fruit and vegetables, some of which have their own natural packaging, are wrapped in non-recyclable plastic and sold at a lower price than loose. We use OddBox, a fruit and vegetable delivery service which cut out plastic, reduce food waste and help fight food poverty.
This vegan tagliatelle is the ultimate feel good meal, perfect for those who have transitioned to a plant based diet and are missing those home comfort staples. Prep time: 10 […]
